Ministry work
I am a born again Christian and by God’s election a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I serve with the Methodist Church in Kenya (MCK). I am both a Children and Youth Ministry Worker. I started off as a Sunday School teacher as Wesley Methodist Church in Mombasa during my youth and as the children grew up, I grew with them into Youth Ministry. I was ordained into full Connexion in 2016 while serving at St Peter’s Church in Langata. Since then I have served as attached clergy at MCK Maziwa Church and as Junior Church and Teens Ministerat MCK Kariokor Church. Currently I serve at Lavington United Church as the Teens and Youth Minister. By God’s election so far, I have served in the capital taking up the role of Nairobi Synod Youth Coordinator to-date; a role which seeks to harmonize youth work in Nairobi Synod under the Synod Bishop.
Academic Background
My initial training is in Secretarial and Office Management at the Mombasa Polytechnic (1996-1999). I worked in the corporate sector for close to ten years. However, that changed as I went into full time ministry. I hold a Bachelor of Divinity degree from St Paul’s University (2009-2012), Kenya. I hold a Master of Theology degree from the MF-Norwegian School of Theology (2013-2015), Norway. I hold a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Wesley Theological Seminary (2019-2022), Washington DC.
Passion
I am passionate about the next generation (Next-Gen). My passion is driven by Psalm 78:4, ‘We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders’ (NLT).My desire it to see the next generation ‘Know, Love and Serve the LORD’ from their early age and well into their adult years and beyond. In this regard therefore, I have a passion to bring the Word of God to them and with the help of the Holy Spirit help them understand God’s purpose for their lives. I desire to see them thrive and become who God made them to be.
